Fleet Phospho Soda Prep

Three (3) Days Before Procedure

• Discontinue all products containing olean or olestra (artificial fat).
• Discontinue Xenical.

Day Before Procedure

• Have a normal breakfast.
• Have a light lunch around noon (soup, sandwich, etc). No solid food after 12:00 noon. You may have clear liquids from noon until midnight.
  (only if your procedure is in the afternoon 12pm - 4pm)
  
  Clear liquids include soft drinks, coffee, tea, Popsicles, Jell-O, broth, clear juices and hard candy. NO RED OR PURPLE! NO MILK! NO CORN OR FOOD WITH SEEDS!
   
• 3:00pm - Take two Dulcolax® tablets with a large glass of water.
• 5:00pm - Mix and drink 1 oz. of Fleet® Phospho® Soda in 3 oz. of water.
  Drink a tall glass of water after this dose.
• 7:00pm - Mix and drink 1 oz. of Fleet® Phospho® Soda in 3 oz. of water.
  Drink a tall glass of water after this dose.
• 9:00pm - Mix and drink 1 oz. of Fleet® Phospho® Soda in 3 oz. of water.
  Drink a tall glass of water after this dose.
• Nothing by mouth after midnight.

Day of Procedure

• Take morning medications, if any, with a small sip of water.
• You may have clear liquids until 4 hours before your procedure.
  (only if your procedure is in the afternoon 12pm - 4pm)

• Be sure to take Blood Pressure, Seizure and Heart medications.
• If you are a Diabetic, please call your physician for dosage of medicine to be taken the morning of your test.
• If you take Aspirin or Blood Thinners, stop taking two days prior to your procedure.
• Bring all of your medications with you.
• Bring someone to drive you home (you will be here approximately 2 hours).
• You should not drive 8-10 hours after the procedure.
