Two Days Before Procedure

Day Before Procedure

• Clear liquids all day -- Clear liquids include soft drinks, coffee, tea, Popsicles, Jell-O, broth, clear juices or hard candy. NO RED OR PURPLE! NO MILK! 
• 2:00pm - Drink 50cc of Sorbitol 70% (chilled).
• 3:00pm - Drink 4 ounces of water.
• 4:00pm - Drink 50cc of Sorbitol 70% (chilled).
• 4:30pm - Drink 4 ounces of water.
• 5:00pm - Take two (2) Dulcolax® tablets with a glass of water.
• 6:00pm - Drink 50cc of Sorbitol 70% (chilled).
• 7:00pm - Drink 4 ounces of water.
• 8:00pm - Drink 50cc of Sorbitol 70% (chilled).
• 9:00pm - Drink 4 ounces of water.
• Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

Day of Procedure

• Take morning medications, if any, with a small sip of water.
• Be sure to take Blood Pressure, Seizure and Heart medications.
• If you are a Diabetic, please call your physician for dosage of medicine to be taken the morning of your test.
• If you take Aspirin or Blood Thinners, stop taking two days prior to your procedure.
• Bring your medications with you.
• Bring someone to drive you home (you will be here approximately 2-3 hours).
